The Bungalows at Zion are so much more than just a unique basecamp for your adventure in Zion National Park. While our close proximity to Zion, as well as to a variety of other state and national parks, is one big perk of our bungalows, you don’t have to go far to enjoy a fun, relaxing evening.

After a long day of hiking and enjoying other Zion activities, The Bungalows at Springdale are the perfect spot to enjoy a night in with your friends or family.

If you’re planning a visit to Southern Utah this year, keep reading. We’re bringing you a few ideas for how to spend a memorable or relaxing evening right here in our national park bungalows.

Plan a Movie Night In

After a long day of hiking, biking, or otherwise enjoying your time in Zion National Park, nothing beats a movie night in. If you want to give your feet a break, or are visiting during the winter when the sun goes down much earlier in the day, you can always plan to spend a fun evening catching up on your favorite shows in your private bungalow.

Each of the units at the Bungalows at Springdale features a 55” TV in the bedroom, which means that you and your family can relax with a different film each evening. If bad weather strikes during your visit, turn it into a movie marathon of your favorite series—just don’t forget to stock up on popcorn ahead of time! Each of our national park bungalows features a microwave perfect for whipping up popcorn and other late-night snacks. Also in the kitchenette is a mini fridge great for stashing your favorite drinks.

Grab Some Carryout

There’s no shortage of great dining locations just a short drive away from The Bungalows at Springdale. But if you’re not in the mood for dining out, grab your food to-go instead.

The large quartz counter that’s perfect for catching up on work is also a great spot to eat your carry-out. You’ll enjoy incredible views of the red rock peaks in the distance, or of the night sky while you dine. Our two-story bungalows feature a second workspace/dining space upstairs, too.

Stargazing

Speaking of our two-story national park bungalows, head upstairs, and you’ll find a private balcony with chairs. This is a great spot to enjoy some of the region’s famous stargazing without even having to change out of your pajamas!

If you have a smartphone or tablet, log in to the Bungalows at Springale’s complimentary high-speed WiFi and download a stargazing app. For just a few dollars, or in some cases, for free, you can get a full guide to spot stars, constellations, and more. Some even interact with your map to show you which stars are directly overhead.

Catch Up on Your Reading List

If your idea of a perfect vacation is having a chance to catch up on your reading list, you’ll find plenty of places to curl up and read throughout our bungalows. Head outside to the balcony, cozy up on your comfortable couch, or slide into your plush bed.

Better yet, why not bring along a read that’ll help you learn more about Zion during your visit? There are an endless number of books on the history of Zion National Park, the culture of the area’s original settlers, and the geography of the region. Check out a few great titles that the park service recommends here.

Plan Your Next Day’s Adventure

After a long day of fun, another great way to spend your evening is by sitting down at the workstation and planning your next day’s activities! Doing this each day of your visit is a great way to allow you to adjust your plans for the weather. You can also keep a running list of hiking trails and other Zion activities you see throughout the day that you’d like to squeeze in later on during your trip. Get the whole family or group involved in the planning process!

While you’re planning your next day of fun and adventure, spend some time talking about the day that you just had. Write down some memorable moments, or take a few minutes to go through your pictures of the day. This can be a great way to make your trip with your loved ones even more memorable.
